FINDING BEAUTY IN THE WAITING
Colorful, intricate paintings fill up the slow, quiet stretch between what is and what will be...
The Basement Sessions is a collection of 7 paintings created in a season of waiting—waiting to start a family, waiting to move into our own home, waiting for the next chapter to begin.
I painted these works in the basement of a house that wasn’t ours, surrounded by boxes and borrowed space, in the in-between. It was my attempt to bring something beautiful into the world now. Not yet a baby, not yet a new home… but art. Beauty. Hope.
This painting was hand-painted by me using acrylics on raw canvas. It is a master study of a Ľudovít Čordák painting titled “Meadow with Bushy Trees.” The canvas painting has been beautifully framed in an antique light wood frame and finished with a soft cream mat.
